Community Ambassadors · Moultrie Field Guide

Help Us Tell Moultrie's Story

The people who know a community best are the people who live, work, volunteer and participate in it.

Moultrie Field Guide is building a comprehensive local knowledge resource, and we believe some of its most valuable information comes from people who know Moultrie and Colquitt County firsthand.

We're inviting those people to become Moultrie Field Guide Ambassadors.

What you know about our community can help someone else discover it, understand it and feel at home here.
You don't need to be an expert.
You might know the history of a neighborhood, the traditions of a local organization, the best places to take visiting family, or the practical details that make everyday life in Moultrie easier.

That knowledge matters. We want to preserve it, organize it and make it useful to others.
Free, voluntary participation. No membership fees or ongoing obligations.
See How It Works

How Does an Ambassador Make a Difference?

People visit the Field Guide with real questions. Our research provides a foundation, but firsthand community knowledge often supplies the details that make an answer genuinely useful.
What are some of Moultrie's most important local traditions?

Moultrie has a long tradition of community gatherings, agricultural celebrations, school activities, civic events and downtown experiences.

Understanding these traditions involves more than knowing when an event takes place. Their history, the people behind them and their place in community life help explain why they matter.

Example of Ambassador Knowledge

A longtime resident or community volunteer might explain how a particular tradition began, how it has changed over the years, and what first-time visitors should know to enjoy it.

Those firsthand details can transform a simple event description into a much richer explanation of local life.

I'm new to Moultrie. How can I become involved in the community?

Community involvement can begin through civic organizations, churches, volunteer opportunities, school activities, cultural programs and local events.

The most useful opportunities depend on a person's interests, schedule and the kind of connections they hope to make.

Example of Ambassador Knowledge

An Ambassador involved in local organizations might identify welcoming opportunities for newcomers, explain how to participate, and suggest activities that are especially good for meeting people.

This is the kind of practical community knowledge that can be difficult to discover through ordinary internet research.

These examples illustrate the Ambassador program. Actual contributions are researched, reviewed and incorporated according to Field Guide editorial standards.
The community is our greatest resource.
Our Ambassadors help us move beyond lists, descriptions and general information to capture the experiences and details that make Moultrie a distinctive place.

Community Recognition

We Recognize the People Who Help

The Field Guide is built for the community, with help from the community. We believe the people who contribute to that effort deserve recognition.
Moultrie Field Guide
Our Community Ambassadors

Our Ambassadors share their knowledge, experiences and recommendations to help make Moultrie Field Guide a more complete and valuable community resource.

We recognize participating Ambassadors on our community recognition page, alongside the Specialists and Local Partners who also help make the Field Guide possible.

Ambassadors who help establish the original Field Guide may also receive special recognition as Founding Ambassadors.

Recognition without complication.
Ambassadors do not need individual profile pages or promotional listings. With their permission, we acknowledge their contributions publicly and identify them as valued members of the Field Guide community.
Sharing What You Know

A Conversation Can Make a Difference

You don't need to become a writer, researcher or website editor. We can ask questions, listen to your experiences and turn useful information into material that strengthens the Field Guide.
For someone involved in local events:
What should a first-time visitor know before attending this event?
For a longtime resident:
What has changed most about downtown Moultrie, and what has remained special?
For a community volunteer:
Which local organizations welcome new volunteers, and how can someone get involved?
For someone familiar with recreation:
What activities, facilities or local opportunities might newcomers overlook?
You share the knowledge. We do the work.
Our editorial process organizes, researches, verifies and presents information so that readers can find useful answers. Your contribution might be a short conversation, a few written suggestions or occasional updates about something you know well.

The Founding Class

What Is a Founding Ambassador?

Every community resource begins with people willing to help establish it. We want to recognize those who contribute during the Field Guide's formative period.
A Special Recognition · Founding Class

Founding Ambassadors

A select group of community members will be invited to help establish the original Moultrie Field Guide as Founding Ambassadors.

These individuals bring valuable knowledge, experience and connections to the effort of building a lasting community information resource.

Founding Ambassadors receive special recognition for their early contributions to the Field Guide.

Founding Ambassador is a recognition of participation and contribution. It is not a paid designation.

As the Field Guide grows, additional community members will continue to be welcomed as Ambassadors. The Founding designation recognizes those who helped establish its original community knowledge base.

Straightforward Participation

Your Knowledge. Your Choice.

Participation is voluntary. There are no membership fees, required meetings or ongoing contribution commitments.

Recognition is optional. We will seek your permission before publicly identifying you as an Ambassador or publishing personal biographical information.

Editorial independence matters. Information contributed by Ambassadors may be researched, verified, edited and combined with other sources. Participation does not guarantee publication of particular information.

Contributed knowledge can remain. Information voluntarily submitted for publication may continue to be used by Moultrie Field Guide after an Ambassador ends active participation, subject to the contribution terms presented during onboarding.
